psychoTherapy

Therapy for Veterinary Professionals

Finally, a therapist who understands what it's like to work in the veterinary field! However, being a veterinary professional is just one part of who you are; I am here to listen and help your whole self.

Starting therapy may be overwhelming, but as your therapist my purpose is to provide a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. In our work together, my goal is to empower you with the skills you need to heal and move forward in your life. My clinical beliefs are rooted in acceptance and change in order face the problems you want to address. If you chose me as your therapist, I will not solve your problems for you but we will work together so you can develop the knowledge and tools to overcome your obstacles and thrive.

I see clients who experience anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, and those going through any major transition periods in their life. My therapeutic style pulls elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also specialize in Grief Therapy for those who are mourning any type of loss whether it's the loss of a human family member, pet/companion, friend, job, or home.

Therapy or Coaching?

Clinical therapy requires a diagnosis and treatment plan.  If you are not looking for non-clinical support to focus on your well-being or personal/professional goals please see my Coaching page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at christina@therapyunleashedllc.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

I see clients through insurance and self-pay clients. When working with an insurance company, I cannot insure 100% confidentiality. Insurance companies may also impose limitations such as the number of sessions we may have. If you opt to pay for sessions out of pocket, I will provide you with an invoice at the end of the month that you can submit to your insurance company as an out-of-network provider.

This varies by insurance company, but most plans offer out-of-network reimbursement for mental health services. You can find out how much your insurance will cover by calling the number on the back of your insurance card.

I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Oscar, United HealthCare, Oxford, and CIgna.

I only provide therapy virtually via Simple Practice which is a HIPAA compliant platform.

Maybe! Although I am only licensed in Massachusetts, some states allow out-of-state providers to offer telehealth to their residents. Please reach out if you are out of state and interested in therapy.

Good faith estimate

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE INFORMATION

Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges Notice (omb.report)

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
